WHAT TO EXPECT IN A THERAPY SESSION?

Evaluation:
Your appointment begins with an evaluation and consultation to determine if Causality Care's treatment options may benefit you. During the evaluation,  your health history and current conditions will be discussed. An Ayurvedic Pulse  Examination will then be performed to further investigate your body's current conditions. After the evaluation, the appropriate therapy will be performed based on the recommendations of the expert therapist.

Therapy:
Based on the evaluation, a variety of modalities may be performed during one session. Our holistic approach looks at your whole self: biologically, psychologically, and sociologically. You may experience multi-disciplinary modalities from soft tissue mobilization to acupressure, stretch therapy, taping, and more.  All modalities used are non-invasive and drugless.

The therapy can be performed in a variety of positions including “Prone Position” (face down), “Supine Position” (on your back / facing up), Lateral / (Recumbent) Position (lying on your side), or Sitting Upright (less than 70° / at 90° / more than 135° / combination of all.

Wrap Up:
We will wrap up your session by discussing how the therapy went when another session would be beneficial, and any maintenance you may want to consider in between sessions.  Most clients walk away feeling some immediate relief after their session.

After Care:
Similar to starting a new exercise program, some clients report soreness after an initial therapy session. Drink plenty of water, use an ice pack when indicated, and engage in light stretching after your first therapy session to help ease any discomfort and promote healing.

SESSION DURATION AND RETURN FREQUENCY:
The duration of your session depends on the length and severity of your condition, however, most first visits last as long as 90 minutes. Follow-up visits may be less, generally lasting 60 minutes or so.

At the end of your first visit, your therapist will determine the best course of treatment for your specific needs. The frequency in which you receive therapeutic care is recommended based on the professional judgment of the therapist and will vary from individual to individual depending on your presenting condition and overall goals. Just as regular visits to the dentist are necessary for good dental hygiene, routine therapy sessions are also important for your body's Stability, Mobility, Coordination , and Balance (M.S.C.B.).

IMPORTANT: (If applicable) Please bring your doctor's referral letter/prescription to your appointment.

Also, if you have had an X-ray, MRI, ECG, EKG, Blood report, or any other medical imaging taken in the last 6 months, please bring it with you to the appointment.
